In the General Assembly Hall of the Bank of Greece and in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Giorgos Amyras, the Governor of the Bank of Greece, Yiannis Stournaras, and the President of the HELLENIC Society for Environment and Culture (ELLET), Lydia Karras, the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project shared on Friday, 31 March 2023 the results of the 2nd nationwide public survey on adaptation to climate change, within the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project.
The views and perceptions of Greek people on Climate Change, the level of awareness and the main sources of information, the values and expectations across age groups regarding climate change impacts and climate change adaptation, are reflected in the research carried out by “qed” market and social research company on behalf of ELLET.
The comparative analysis of the 2nd LIFE-IP AdaptInGR survey results against the results of the 1st LIFE-IP AdaptInGR Public Opinion Survey held in 2019, allows further understanding the impact and effectiveness of the awareness raising actions, carried out by, both, the central and regional administration and the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project, as well as in identifying any changes in citizens' perceptions and expectations.
The survey was carried out through electronically assisted telephone interviews (CATI) from September to November 2022. It includes a total sample size of 2.032 completed interviews among people aged 15-70 years.
