LIFE-IP AdaptInGR representatives had the opportunity to discuss the development parameters of monitoring and evaluation systems (M&E) for adapting to climate change with the European Commission's Office for Climate Change Adaptation, during teleconference on April 3, 2020.
The teleconference joined representatives of the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, the National Technical University of Athens, the Green Fund, the Academy of Athens, as well as the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EC EASME) and the LIFE External Monitoring Team (ΝΕΕΜΟ) and executives from the "Adaptation Unit" of the Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA) of the European Commission.
The meeting aimed to share experience with regard to the methods and criteria used to evaluate the EU Adaptation Strategy and the coordination of M&E at different administration levels (european/national and national/regional) and how the experience developed at EU level could be used for the development of the Greek M&E system for adapting to climate change .
