3rd LIFE-IP AdaptInGR Project Meeting
On 23 June 2021, the 3rd meeting of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR was convened. The meeting was held online due to the restrictions caused by the ‘Covid-19’ pandemic outbreak.
The progress of the project actions was discussed given emphasis on: a) the analysis of the current situation (baseline) in regard to the implementation of the National Adaptation Strategy and the development of the Regional Adaptation Action Plans, b) the completion of the technical specifications and the tender documents for the pilot projects of the Municipalities and the Regions that participate in the project, c) the production of climate projections at the national and regional levels and their inclusion in the Geospatial database of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, d) the completion of the protocol for monitoring the project's contribution to the implementation of the National Adaptation Strategy, e) the drafting of the project’s dissemination and communication strategy, f) the project’s first national school competition entitled "The climate is changing…I’m changing my LIFE!", and g) the preparation of the 1st capacity building workshop and the 1st regional info-day that will be held in the Region of Western Greece in September 2021.
The project partners also explored opportunities to enable the uptake of the project results by the key adaptation stakeholders in Greece.
