Organization of the three-day capacity building workshop in the Region of Ionian Islands
The three-day capacity building workshop for the adaptation of the Region of Ionian Islands to climate change will take place virtually on 27-29 June 2022.
The workshop is being co-organized by the Green Fund and the Region of Ionian Islands in the framework of action C.6 of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project, which aims at building the country's capacity to adapt to climate change. This will be the 3rd out of the thirteen (13) regional capacity building workshops which are foreseen in the project (one for each Region in Greece). The workshop targets at 3 different types of audience in the Region:
(a) Decision-makers,
(b) Technical and other staff of regional and local authorities, and
(c) Stakeholders (including professional groups of sectors affected by the impacts of climate change).
The aim of the workshop is to provide the necessary knowledge and tools to the public services and other stakeholders regarding climate change adaptation, giving emphasis on the most vulnerable sectors of the Region of Ionian Islands, as well as to enable the implementation of Ionian Islands’ Regional Adaptation Action Plan.
